The Little House: A Cozy Kitchen

One thing my mom taught me growing up is that a kitchen can be a very happy place and this one is not only happy, but quite cozy. I have a lot of holiday memories, as a little girl, helping my mom decorate the Christmas cookies and I hope to share this with Sienna in the little house very soon!

Now let the coziness begin ...

I love the color of the kitchen cabinets with the blue tile counters and the cozy, little drawers are perfect for my spice jars! Did I mention the delicious smell of spices that wafts up when you open the cabinet doors?

There just happened to be a perfect little nook below our pantry cabinet for these little pictures that were actually cards from The Greenhouse in Bellingham, which I framed.

And little shelves for sugar and rice. The skinny cabinets on either side work for cooking oils and they have towel racks for my holiday dishtowels.
Finally, no cozy kitchen is complete without pictures of baking in progress. So, I leave you with pictures of my first pie baking experience, A Blackberry Mountain Pie and of course, some yummy chocolate chip cookies!

  1. The pie looks beautiful! I loved making pies with the berries I picked in Humboldt. Yum-Yum. And your mom's baked goods are so good too!!!
