On Thursday morning, we left our little garden apartment to begin the trek to the beautiful Methow Valley that we had been dreaming of for so long! Our wee ones did wonderful on the drive. Forest slept most of the way and Sienna played with her toys and listened to her new favorite, The Beach Boys.

Daddy and Forest (Forest isn't really that grumpy, he just looks like it!)
Sienna really didn't want to take a photo with Forest, so she kept running away. Just about a moment later, she put her hand in wet bird poop and we had to return to the car to clean it off.
Trying to get Sienna to pose with us for a photo.
After a bit more traveling, we finally made it to our cabin!
We stayed in Cabin #1, which was quite cozy!
After we arrived, we headed to the little town of Winthrop for some lunch.

After exploring the town for a bit, we decided to scout out a good fishing spot for Daddy and Sienna.
Along the way, we came across this sign ...
We thought it was a pretty funny sign to see outside of a church.
After, we picked out where we would go fishing the next morning we headed back to town and picked up a pizza to bring back to our cabin for dinner. East 20 Pizza is delicious!
It turned out, that Mama and Sienna had to go back out and get some Tylenol, since Sienna started running a fever during the night. By the next day, she was feeling a bit better, but had a head cold.
We stopped for yummy cinnamon twips at the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery in the sweet town of Twisp!
Then, we were off to our fishing adventure with our cinnamon twips and coffee in hand.
Sienna insisted on using her pink fishing pole.

And, Sienna caught her very first fish on the pink fishing pole! She was the only one to catch one.

After fishing, we explored the Methow Valley a little more, picked up some lunch to eat on a country road and went to a thrift store in town. We drove past this property and Mama had to take a few photos of their yard art.
Then, Daddy dropped us off back at that cabin, so Sienna could rest. He went off to fish again by himself and we snuggled up in the bed and watched cartoons together. When he returned, he had picked up East 20 Pizza again!
On our patio at the cabin.
Daddy made us our favorite, s'mores for dessert!
S'mores!
The next morning, we were off to the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery, a drive around the Okanogan National Forest and the Farmer's Market.

After picking up a chocolate chip peanut butter cookie for Sienna from the Farmer's Market and a moose beeswax candle for Mama from the Natural Food store, we were off on our journey home.
The road home...
It was a beautiful trip and it reaffirmed our love for the Methow Valley!
