Lately, we've been establishing new daily rhythms while settling into our home and settling into homeschooling once again. At the end of the week, I like to go through the photos I snapped during the week and I think I will start sharing them on the blog in this format, rather than writing more posts.

We seem to have new visitors to our bird feeder every day. Often times while I try to capture a photo of the new friend, Sienna sneaks out the glass doors and attempts to see how close she can get to the birds. She can get pretty close before they fly off.

This week, we also discovered a more wooded trail near our neighborhood and we've been taking Sunshine out on the trail most every day we can. We mapped out a three mile route and that will be our daily family walk together.

On Baking Day this week, Sienna and I loosely made a recipe from The New Moosewood Cookbook. Instead of using peaches, we opted for all different types of berries. It was quite tasty and we plan to make it again someday.

I found that Sienna must of taken the photo of me driving one day when she asked to see my phone to look at the weather. It was kind of funny and unexpected to see when I uploaded the pictures.

The next few photos were from Painting Day. Kona was cozied up near Sienna at the table while Forest and Sunshine explored, climbed and crawled around the kitchen together.

The last two photos were taken at Nana's school carnival. Sienna went on two pony rides there. Both of her ponies were girls and one was even named Dolly! Sienna really liked that. And, that my friends was our week together.

Moments

I thought I'd share a few moments from last week. We've been sticking to our homeschool rhythm, which includes baking on Tuesdays. Last week, we made homemade biscuits to eat with our dinner. Sienna really loves this part of our day together, while Forest usually ends up in the Ergo after too many attempts to climb onto the dining table and stand on it. I do realize that my babywearing days will be coming to an end very soon and that makes me feel sad. I just loved the faces he was making at me while I carry him around the kitchen.

We also had a a few celebrations this week. On Thursday, it was David's 33rd birthday. Sienna decorated his birthday table for him. On Saturday, Sienna lost her first tooth and the tooth fairy came during the night. She discovered her tooth fairy was a "rock/pebble fairy." She left Sienna a little glass jar filled with rose quartz. Lastly, we celebrated Mother's Day and decided it would be the perfect day to free our butterflies.
