Road Trip to CA!

We have been back from our road trip to CA for a few weeks now and we are finally getting into a good summertime groove. I thought I'd share about our road trip down and all of the fun we had visiting with our friends and family.

My mom (Nana) drove down with me and the little ones in a rental car. We took many stops along, so that Sienna and Forest didn't get too overwhelmed with all of the driving. I didn't take many photos until I met up with David in Fallbrook. (He flew down to his parent's house.) Along the way, we stayed in Eugene, Crescent City, Petaluma and Fair Oaks.

At one point along the way, Sienna asked to take photos. We had fun taking silly photos of ourselves and passing the camera back and forth to each other. I also snapped the photo of the Willits sign as we made our way down to Petaluma.

The day we arrived at the beach house on Balboa Island was also Forest's 1st birthday. We celebrated with my best friend, Kelly and her little ones Kayla and Austin, my Aunt Monica, Uncle Carl and cousin Lauren, and my Aunt Lynn.

Unfortunately, I didn't take many photos. I wish I had taken more! I always forget to take them when I am with people. (So, if you are reading this Kelly, I would love for you to send me some of the photos that you took!)

The next day, we met up with David at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Fallbrook for a second birthday party!

I was very excited to see my Dad! We hadn't seen each other for a little over 4 years! He was able to see Sienna again and meet Forest for the first time.

Many of David's friends were there with their little ones. I thought this photo was funny! We kind of look like a Mormon family in it.

We spent the next few days exploring Balboa Island and visiting with David's grandpa, the Alvarenga's, and my best friend, Kelly. (unfortunately, no photos again!)

Then, on Wednesday we went to Disneyland!! It was an overcast day with a small chance of rain. The weather was perfect and it even did drizzle a little while we were there. Sienna loved riding the teacups with Nana, riding the carousel with Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa and most of all meeting the princesses. By chance, we ran into Miss Sarah (Sienna's dance teacher) when we were leaving. Miss Sarah was there taking dance classes for the week and dancing in some of the parades. Sienna hopes she can do this one day, too! It was a very magical day!

Finally, on Friday we drove down to San Diego to Grandpa Richard and Grandma Pam's house. We had fun at their house visiting with them and going out to Mountain Mike's Pizza. Sienna thought Grandpa was funny and both the little ones loved when he played the harmonica.

The next day, we packed our bags and headed back to Washington! We went back faster this time, only stopping in Santa Barbara, Fair Oaks and Eugene. It was a very fun trip and we wish it could have lasted longer! We loved seeing all of our friends and family!
