Who Couldn't ...

help, but L-O-V-E having breakfast with these two?

Forest, or Bubby as we call him woke up this morning at 4:30 a.m. and was down for his first nap of the day before it was even 8. After that, he loved his yo-yo's (Cascadian Farm O's) and YoBaby, just like his big sis did at this age. He also loves making silly faces at Mama.

He also likes to put his foot up on the high chair and no he doesn't mind that his high chair is purple. He loves the color. Evidence = he tries to steal Sienna's purple yoga mat and do poses when she leaves it in the living room.

And, what about that big sis? She likes to sit by us at breakfast and eat her yo-yo's with a spoon and no milk. After all, it is her second breakfast of the day. The first one was toast and juice while Bubby napped.

Oh, and after looking at these photos, I noticed big sister's eye is looking a tad pink and puffy on the eyelid. Hoping ... she doesn't have pink eye again. Good thing, I kept her eye drops from her pink eye she got after our trip to the Methow Valley, just in case.

Love these little ones ... all the way to the moon and back!!

On the Road

Very soon ...

we will be road trippin' to visit family and friends in California and Utah with a very special adventure to Disneyland, too! There will also be Forest's 1st birthday to celebrate. We can't wait!!

The little ones and Mama will be going via car with Nana. Daddy will be taking an airplane to meet us in southern California. Hopefully, Sienna and Forest will be as smiley and happy along the way as in the photos above!

Happy Father's Day!

Well, tomorrow is Father's Day and I wish my own dad, my father-in-law and my honey a very Happy Father's Day!

We decided to celebrate Daddy a day early and we went to Heart Lake in Anacortes for Father's Day fishing and a hike.

All ready to go fishin'!

He loves his big sister!

Daddy and his silly girl.

Sienna at Heart Lake

Forest was grumpy, because we didn't catch any fish.

Just kidding.

He just loves to make silly faces!

Sienna tried to look grumpy, too.

Hiking on the trail at Heart Lake.

Forest in the Ergo.

Sienna found this cute bench on the trail.

And, she met a new friend ... a banana slug!

Daddy sportin' the new feather we found on the trail.

After the hike, we took Daddy out for a sweet treat ... s'mores blizzards from Dairy Queen. Yummy!

We love you, honey and we hope you had a fun Father's Day with us! Thank you for all you do for our little family each and every day.

A Wee Walker

Forest has been walking now since he was 10 months old. It started with furniture cruising and now, at 11 months he is able to pull himself up into a standing position without holding onto anything. We haven't really taken any photos of him walking yet, unil today... (some lucky folks have watched his cute, little walk on Facetime though)

So, I thought I'd share some photos I took earlier today of Forest. What was he after? Why, his green recycle truck, of course. He likes to make the wheels spin.

He is such a big boy!

Sienna turns 5!

On Monday, we celebrated our sweet Sienna's 5th birthday. The night before her birthday, I decorated the dining area with our birthday banner, the birthday ring and a birthday table with her gifts.

In the morning, she remembered the birthday fairies from last year and asked if they had helped again.

The dining area.

Birthday gifts for our girl. Mind you, all of these were opened before 6 in the morning on her birthday.

The birthday ring on our nature table. The goose was this year's addition since I often call her my goose-y girl and lucy goose-y. Someday, she would also like to raise her own geese on our homestead.

Ready to make a wish!

Blowing out her candles.

Her request for dessert was homemade strawberry shortcake made by her Mama.

Yummy!

Our sweetie.

Ready to have her dessert!

We love our sweet Sienna and can't believe she is already 5! We are blessed to have this spirited girl in our lives.

A Day of Enchantment

On Saturday, our little dancer had her dance recital. This year's theme was "Enchantment" and she did tap to "Bippety, Boppety, Boo" from Cinderella and ballet to "I  See the Light" from Rapunzel.

Here are a few photos from her special day ::

She is the second little dancer in the row! I love how they are all looking to Miss Sarah to see what to do next :)

In the dressing room after the show. I was the "room mom" and had to watch the girls in her class during the show. Sienna had fun playing cards and coloring on her Angelina Ballerina blanket with her dancer friends.

And, Forest! He loved watching the show with Daddy, Nana, Great Aunt Sharon and Great Uncle Rick. He loved all of the dancers!

We can't wait to pick up Sienna's dance pictures and DVD from the show!
