Happy Summer Solstice!

Happy Summer Solstice, friends!

I thought I'd share a few photos from Sienna's first summer. I also had to include a sunflower, since this is the sunflower cozy, of course.

Sweet little one.

She's swimming in her shorts!

From last year's garden.

And some of our news ...

On Friday, we are moving once again. This time to the little cottage with the pink door. We hope to stay there until we can have our own sunflower cozy.

Our little family will also experience quite a few changes in the fall. Sienna will start preschool and I will be teaching kindergarten. The separation will be very new for us, since she only attended daycare for a short while when she was very small. I am already beginning to think about our new rhythm. Thankfully, we will only be apart for four hours each day. Sienna is very excited, as she loves outdoor play and the preschool has a playground. So far, there are only two boys enrolled with her, but I am sure more children will be signing up very soon. The best part is the proximity of the little cottage to Sienna's preschool and my elementary school. Each are approximately two miles away.

I hope to be sharing photos of the cottage very soon!

3 Year Stats

Happy Friday, friends!

I have a few little things to share ...

On Monday, Sienna went to her 3 year well child exam with Dr. Carol.

We are proud to report she is a perfectly healthy 3 year old.

Her stats from the visit:

weight ... 33 lbs. (75th percentile)
height ... 37.25 (70th percentile)

She also had her blood pressure measured and a hearing/vision screening. Everything was perfect, except for Sienna wasn't interested in doing the vision exam. They will check her vision again when she is 4 years old.

We also opted for just one shot (DT), as we are following an "alternative" immunization schedule. She will have her next shot in December.

P.S. I plan to start blogging more regularly again very soon ... our little family has much more to share.

Sienna is 3!

Our past week was very full with lots of happiness and love. On Friday, Sienna turned 3 years old and we had a mellow celebration at home with Grandma Diane and Grandpa Paul coming over in the afternoon with a strawberry cake.

So full of happiness!

Mama and Sienna

Sienna's birthday celebration continued on Sunday with a fairy themed birthday party at Nana's house. Nana, Grandma Diane, Grandpa Paul, Aunt Sharon, Uncle Rick, and Cousin Lisa all helped Sienna celebrate her very special day.

Sienna really loved the horsey from Aunt Sharon and Uncle Rick.
It really sounds like a real horse!

Sienna tried to grab the candles. Mama caught her just in time!

The beautiful birthday girl.

Both birthday celebrations were very beautiful and simple. Sienna is very lucky to be loved by so many people.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game ...

Yesterday, our little family ventured down to Safeco Field for our first ever baseball game together. David's coworker, Donna gave us fancy Terrace Club tickets. The Seattle Mariners played against the Tampa Bay Rays and they won! We also saw the Mariners make four home runs. Sienna had lots of fun! She loved all of the excitement, music, and clapping.

On the way to Seattle ...

Smiling pretty for Mama.

So excited for her first baseball game!

Our tickets and the Lady's Night Out free gift, a reusable shopping bag. Mama loves freebies!

We can't wait to see the Mariners play again!
