One of the things Sienna and Mama have been doing a lot this summer is exercising! Sienna is helping me train for another half marathon. It's been a few years since I've run and I am loving hitting the trails again. On Sunday, we were able to go to the Centennial Trail in Snohomish, where I did most of my training when I ran the 2006 Seattle Half Marathon.

"Putting Friends Together"
One of Sienna's favorite new activities is sorting. She loves stickers and one day she started putting them up on the chart paper in groups. She calls it "putting friends together" and we've been recreating this activity for her, so she can practice sorting groups.

How to Eat an Ice Cream Cone ...
1. Take one bite of the side and put your chin into the chocolate ice cream to make a little goatee beard.
2. Take another bite of your ice cream cone. This is serious business!
3. Get very messy. Make your goatee grow into a full beard and mustache. Set your cone down for a rest.
4. Show off your new beard to Mommy. It matches Daddy's beard.
5. Tip your cone up like a water bottle to drink the chocolate ice cream.
6. Smile big and show off all of those beautiful, chocolately teeth.
7. Don't forget to show off those new (chocolate) freckles, too!

Summer Days Part II
Summer days are all about ...
... watching our sunflowers bloom.
(This is one of our strange 5 headed ones!)

Fourth of July!
This year our little family once again attended the Anacortes Fourth of July parade for the third year in a row. Sienna liked the parade this year the best and had fun waving to the "big man" from the Shell Oil Refinery. She also liked the horses, dancing Elvis women, fire trucks, and all of the many, many dogs we saw all around.
After the parade we came home and Nana came over for a cloudy day BBQ. We enjoyed yummy chicken, turkey hot dogs, homemade potato salad, baked beans and Nana's very chocolatey brownies.
And lastly, here are a few pictures from the first time we went to the parade with Sienna. She was less than one month old!
We were also sad that we didn't get to see the oldest Golden Retriever in Anacortes again.
Yesterday was also our friend Oliver's 3rd birthday. He lives all the way in Escondido, so weren't able to celebrate it with him. Happy Birthday, Oliver!

Little Miss Chippy Teeth
A Dental Update
Yesterday, Sienna went to Greenlake for her first dentist appointment with Dr. Troy. She did an excellent job! Sienna's teeth are doing great ... no cavities! She had her teeth cleaned and fluoridated. Her top front teeth have been chipped for awhile, but Dr. Troy doesn't think we need to do anything for them. Mama now will have the *fun job* of flossing Sienna's teeth. Sienna has one more fang tooth on it's way and then it's just molars. Now, it's time for Mama and Daddy to go to the dentist!
