Sienna's Favorites

Today I thought I'd share a few of Sienna's favorites ::

"Draw" with her Stockmar crayons from Germany.

Orange, being her favorite color.
She loves to run around the house, orange crayon in hand.

Standing on her "buggy."
With orange crayon in hand, of course.

Some other favorites, I didn't get a photo of ::

*holding her bear, Sassy, and Baba all at once
*pouring water from her tippy cup into a teacup to drink
*reading Goodnight Moon and Katie the Kitten over and over again
*pretending her water is soup (with her play spoons and bowls)
*Little Bear books and episodes
(we're thinking about buying her some L.B. DVD's)
*cooking in her kitchen while Mama cooks in the real kitchen
*clean-up
*going for walks outside
*her new favorite movie ... You've Got Mail
(she likes the music and acts like a music conductor when they sing)

Where We've Been...

After 3 trips to The Kid's Clinic and 2 visits to Urgent Care, we are finally back in the blogging world. Hopefully with no more trips to doctors until Sienna's 24 month appointment!

After all those trips, we've learned that Sienna has an allergy to Amoxicillin and possibly to Azithromycin, too. Luckily, when we were at the Urgent Care on Sunday, the doctor decided to just stop all medications since we weren't sure if her hives were still coming from her first prescription or the second one, too. On Monday, we went to The Kid's Clinic and they checked her ears again and told us it looked like her ear infection had finally cleared up.

After 16 days of being sick, Sienna is finally feeling much better and she even gained 8 ounces in 5 days. So ... we hope to see you much more around here in the next few days!

Blog Break

Happy New Year!

I've been meaning to sit down and do a little blog about our goals and resolutions for the year, but since Saturday my days/nights have been devoted to Sienna. She came down with a fever and now the "bug" has turned into congestion with a runny nose and a cough.

Yesterday, Sienna and I drove down to Seattle for an appt. with Dr. Carol just to make sure Sienna is okay. Dr. Carol's recommendations were everything I've already been doing: saline drops for the nose, taking her into the steamy bathroom, using the cool mist humidifier, lots of fluids, rest and sleeping in an upright position.

So, I plan to take a little "blog break" until Sienna feels better. In the meantime lots of cuddling and movie watching will be happening at the little house.

Here are two snapshots from Sienna's morning nap::

Please send some positive healing vibes our way.
Until next time ...
